Lee Speed
Lee Speed is an Australian children's author who writes and self-publishes playful picture books filled with rhythm, repetition, and gentle chaos. Her stories follow delightful adventures of Duck and Pig - two curious friends who always find themselves in journeys that start off simple...and quickly spiral into the unexpected. Lee's debit book, I'm going on an adventure (2024), introduces readers to Duck and Pig as they embark on a adventure, "not too far, not too bizarre, not too hairy, and not too scary" - until it become too far, too bizarre, too hairy and too scary. Her second book, I'm going on a boat (2025), continues their adventures with Duck and Pig going on a boat that not too deep, not too steep, not too frightening and no lightning. Her third book, I'm going to the show is due for release in August 2025! Lee is passionate about creating stories that spark imagination, laughter, and a love of reading from an early age.
