I grew up in country Western Australia, where my father drove wheat trains. Those days were filled with adventures, running barefoot through the bush. We moved to the outer suburbs of Perth, and I attended high school in Victoria Park.

Working as an office assistant, I saved enough money for another adventure in the 70s. Sailing around the world on the grand old Liner Australis, living in London, planting potatoes in Jersey, and learning to ski on a Contiki tour to Austria. After that, I backpacked, with a tent and an Eurail train pass, around Europe with my now husband.

Returning to Australia, we raised our family and now have three wonderful grandchildren.
In 2012, Queen Mary 2 made her inaugural cruise circumnavigating Australia, and we joined her. After that, we travelled to London, Paris, Berlin and Amsterdam. Then Covid hit, and we travelled around Australia, which is a truly amazing country.

Tomorrow's Roses / Tomorrows Promise / A Holiday Promise

I am an indie author creating tender romantic stories. My books combine heartfelt emotion with meaningful messages, offering readers an escape filled with love and hope. My characters do not have sex; they make love, which is described on the page.

I have published Tomorrow's Roses, set in Fremantle during 1944-45. This story came about from stories told to me by my mother and her twin sister about growing up in Perth during the Second World War.

My second novel, Tomorrow's Promise, follows the same family and is set in Cottesloe and locations around the world during the turmoil of the Vietnam War. This story came from my experience growing up in Perth, when some were looking for a better way. When a protest against a war was not a protest against those who fought and died.

My latest novel, A Holiday Promise, came about when researching a news article that stated that of 143 bodies exhumed at a grave site in High Park, Dublin, only 75 were identified by name. This article took me back to my school days of furtive glances across a classroom and the imagination of young girls. The story evolved into one of sacrifice and secrets, of a search for the truth and a father's love.
