Kat Orgovany
Kat Orgovany came of age a long time ago but can’t get enough of coming-of-age stories. Having grown up on a diet of John Hughes films, she developed a love of teenage stories that encompass the struggles of growing up and not fitting in.
Kat has worked as a freelance writer and fan-girl-ed when interviewing Suzi Quatro and Kate Moennig for magazines. She also became an accomplished musician and story-telling songwriter and currently enjoys working with children in her day job.
In between completing her Advanced Diploma in Professional Writing and Editing, Kat started her debut young adult fiction novel 'Georgie' which took an unfathomable number of years to complete.
‘Georgie’ was finally released in February 2024 to positive reviews and was nominated for the Stella Prize and the Danz Children’s Book Award for young adult fiction. The second book in the Georgie series, ‘The Plot Solidifies,’ will be published in 2025.
