Terms & Conditions for Authors Exhibiting at the Indie Author Book Fair
The Indie Author Book Fair is hosted by The Book Reality Experience.
Please note: The Book Reality Experience retains the right to refuse a table selling reserved area (“Table”) or a reading reserved session (“Reading”) within the Independent Authors Book Fair (“The Fair”) to any authors representing any genres that are deemed by us to be inflammatory, racist, sexist or otherwise offensive. Any decision not to proceed on these grounds is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
All authors being accepted to a Table Space will be required to pay the full registration price through our website on acceptance of your registration.
All authors being accepted to a Reading will be required to pay the full registration price through our website on acceptance of your registration.
Western Australia Events Only - Authors must provide proof of Public Liability insurance for a market stall holder or must select to be placed under the umbrella Book Reality Experience policy for the duration of The Fair. Failure to either select and pay the fee to be placed under the Book Reality Experience’s policy or provide proof of Public Liability insurance within 14 days of the fair will render the author's registration invalid and all fees paid to that date will be forfeit.

Refund Policy
Due to the short timescales between registrations being opened and the Fair being hosted, all bookings are made as finalised bookings and are therefore non-refundable. In the event that an author notifies their intention to withdraw and where the Book Reality Experience is able to secure a replacement author for the Table or Reading slots being surrendered, then a full refund will be made to the author less a £10 GBP / $20 AUD administration fee.
In the event that The Fair is cancelled by the Book Reality Experience, all authors will receive a full refund of all fees paid with no deductions for administration costs.
In the event that The Fair is cancelled by a 3rd Party (venue owner, civil authority, civil power (local or national Government) or other undefined entity) and if The Book Reality Experience secures a refund, all authors will receive their share (an amount in percentage terms of the refund received by the Book Reality Experience) up to 100% of all paid fees.
This policy will be held in force under the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia

Terms & Conditions for Visitors to the Indie Author Book Fair
The Indie Author Book Fair is hosted by The Book Reality Experience.
We strive to provide a safe and inclusive environment for all visitors, authors, contractors, volunteers, and staff.
Staff, or contractors working on behalf of the Indie Author Book Fair reserve the right to refuse entry and/or to evict, without compensation, any person(s) who exhibit abusive, disruptive, or offensive behaviour and/or language. This includes any visitor who uses racial and discriminatory language to any other patron, volunteer, or staff member.
In the event that the Indie Author Book Fair is cancelled, we will provide notice via this website and email to visitors who have registered for the event.
