Dean P.R. Buswell
Dean Buswell was born in Perth, Western Australia, and raised in the southern suburbs of Rockingham where he honed three hobbies: reading, gaming, and storytelling. A lifelong lover of fiction, Dean spent much of his youth writing up stories that rarely made it past chapter five; unless you count the extensive lore built for roleplay forums and fantasy games with his equally nerdy friends.
But one idea stuck. What began as a half-baked fantasy setting for a role playing game with friends, slowly evolved into The Order of Elysium, his debut novel and the first story to escape the chaotic realm inside his mind.
Dean's first editor, toughest critic, and whip-cracker is his wife, Lisa, though her position as "Biggest Fan" is currently under threat by their daughter, or at least it will be, just as soon as she learns to read.
The Aetheric Wars
The Order of Elysium
You wake up without your personal memories, barely even knowing your own name. A single horrifying truth echoes somewhere in the back of your mind: you've already died...
This is how everything begins for Aiden, resurrected by angelic forces and thrown into a war he didn't even know existed. Heave and Hell are real, and they've been waging a silent, brutal war for centuries. And the side Aiden has been recruited to? They're losing...
Now Aiden is part of The Order of Elyisum, an ancient and secret order of those reborn as Wardens by the Valkyr Guard to fight back the demonic tide. Trained and then dispersed all around the world with a single mission: keep humanity safe from becoming collateral in the shadow war between angels and demons.
Already faced with dwindling numbers, the Wardens of Salem now must contend with a new kind of demon unlike anything they've faced before. As they battle against this new threat it becomes clear that the lines between light and dark, between good and evil, are not just blurred, they're shattering altogether...
