The Wildcards
JUMPING OVER WAVES
How far would you go to save a life that’s not your own?
Lexie, a seasoned teacher, has spent her career nurturing young minds—but one student lingers in her memory, a quiet ache asking, ‘Could I have done more?’ Years later, fate hands her the chance to find out.
Amber has known nothing but chaos. The daughter of an addict, a surrogate mother to her brothers, and now—barely an adult herself—a mother to two young children. Hope seems like a luxury she can’t afford. When her relationship with her charming but volatile boyfriend turns dark, Amber is left clinging to survival.
A chance meeting between these two women—worlds apart but bound by empathy—sparks a fragile lifeline. As Lexie opens her home to Amber and her children, she wonders: can a second chance ever truly rewrite the past?
A powerful story of resilience, redemption, and the quiet heroism of everyday women, Jumping Over Waves is a stirring portrait of love found in the unlikeliest of places.
