Born and raised in sunny Perth, Vanessa Savundra has travelled the world but always finds her way back home. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Australia and is a qualified primary school teacher. At home, life is full of fishing, board games, family dinners, laughter and stories shared with her husband, their three wonderful children, and two lively dogs.

Her debut baby board book was created especially for the tiniest of readers, with the goal of encouraging infant literacy from the very beginning. With a blend of warmth, rhythm, and a high contrast design, her work helps nurture a lifelong love of books—starting in the earliest months of life.
