
Darrel N Gregory
Darrel was born and raised in London to Anglo-Indian parents. At 16, he followed in his father’s footsteps by joining the military. By 19, he was part of the Task Force sent 8,000 miles to liberate the Falkland Islands, serving as ground crew for 18 Squadron RAF and supporting the only surviving Chinook helicopter, Bravo November.
His military career spanned 23 years, including service during the Cold War and with NATO. After leaving the forces, he transitioned into healthcare, working within the NHS before moving into the private sector. During the global pandemic in 2020, he published his memoir, Three Stripes, I’m Out, reflecting on his extraordinary journey.
