Trauma has a way of shaping us, often in ways we don’t fully understand until much later. It seeps into our thoughts, our relationships, and the way we navigate the world. For years, I lived in survival mode, making decisions from a place of fear until I made the choice to heal.

My journey has taken me through the depths of pain, self-discovery, and transformation. I’ve faced the shadows of my past, unlearned the beliefs that held me back, and stepped into a life filled with strength, purpose, and peace.

Healing is not about erasing the past, it’s about reclaiming your power. It’s about acknowledging where you’ve been, understanding how it has shaped you, and deciding who you want to become.

If you’ve walked a similar path, know this: you are not alone, and healing is possible. Your story doesn’t end with trauma, it begins with your decision to rise beyond it.

Broken Bones

What if the very person meant to protect you was the one who nearly killed you?.

Broken Bones

You are not broken. You are becoming.

I can’t remember being told I was the first battered baby to be publicised in the UK, but I always knew. Every bone in my body had been shattered before I even had a chance to live.

My auntie sent me a newspaper clipping from 1964. The headline read: “The Riddle of a Baby with Broken Bones.” That baby was me, and that moment set me on the path to writing this book.

This is more than my story, it’s a guide to healing. I share the raw truth of my past, the cruelty, the abuse, and the trauma that lived alongside me. I refused to let my past define me.

After each chapter, you’ll find five reflective questions to help you take the lessons from your own life. You’ll also find QR codes taking you to support materials, including Breathwork sessions and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). Plus, you’ll have access to a private community, where you can ask questions, share your journey, and connect with others walking this path.
