In a nutshell, we explore a love of writing in a nurturing environment. We connect fortnightly to share, motivate and seek advice on our writing projects. Writers of all writing abilities participate in write-nights and read-and-review nights. We are a not-for-profit organisation.

Death, Despair & Other Happy Endings – The inaugural anthology of Short Stories, Plays, Poems and Flash Fiction from the collective hive-mind of the Bunbury Writers Group. Inspired by their South West Australian home, but drawing from their multi-cultural backgrounds and mixture of places they once called home, these stories in all their formats, range from a scary fairy who likes Halloween to the joys of a Mother’s embrace. From the despair of a broken heart, to the delights of a new found love and from the dark recesses of a killer’s mind to the happiness in a turtle staying its course.
Happy Disenchantment Day
Short Stories of Hapless Holidays. From Christmas Cake to Pumpkin Pie, we are told Holidays are meant to be fun, festive and frivolous. But often they turn out to be far from idyllic. This collection of short stories from the Bunbury Writer’s Group captures the turmoil, trouble and occasional terror of those hapless holidays that befall the unwary. Enjoy the tales and raise a toast, to Happy Disenchantment Day.
